The Melbourne FitX will be hosting the 105 StrongFit Live event on Sunday, March the 18th with the Strongest under 105 Athletes in Australasia, the new system we have used to qualify athletes is via our Strength Quest Grading System which has four events that are considered the standard events from strongman to qualify there strength levels prior to participating in an open strongman event.
The events to qualify Athletes for this event where done in a controlled training session and where as follows:
Strength Quest A Grade
Yoke 320KG 15-meters for time or distance
Max Log -start weight 100KG
Deadlift Raw -IPF Rules Start weight 230KG
Farmers Walk 110 KG 25-meters for time or distance
http://www.strongfit.com.au/strengthquestgradingsystem.php
Once the Athletes obtained the minimum A Grade Standard for this event, they were selected based on the best performances from the qualifying pool.
The Events for StrongFit Live 105 @ Melbourne FitX are:
Yoke 350KG for 30-meters for time or distance
Log 105KGFor Reps 75-sec time limit
Deadlift for reps 260KG @ 40CM Truck wheel and axel assembly
Farmers Walk 120KG30-meters for time or distance
Nick Maloni
Darren Lang
Paul Cassar
Phil Burgess
Karlo Briski
Joel MacCaughan
Justin Keogh
Andrew Cunniff
The winner will be crowned the StrongFit Live 105 Australian Champion
The StrongFit System is gaining very positive interest from all levels of the strength community and people can understand that the basic function is to qualify athletes strength levels from E Grade to Elite 2 which can suit many purposes and many sports.
This past week I hosted Frank Lazar from www.wnsfworld.com in preparation for a Strongman Grand Prix in Australia next month. He is very interested to use this concept worldwide to pre-qualify Athletes for strongman event using this grading via designated representatives in each nation.
